Supporting The First Step House of North County

The First Step House of North County is a non‐profit organization dedicated to providing temporary housing, free of charge, to sobering and recovering sick male alcoholics who are not cared for at home or by public facilities and offer these men an introduction to sobriety.

Early stage sobriety solutions for the male alcoholic are few and for those without medical insurance or means, they are unavailable in North San Diego County. The First Step House of North County offers free sobering services to men upon the founding principle of one drunk helping another.

At the First Step House of North County (FSHNC) we provide short-term assistance to alcoholic men starting out on the path of recovery – men who have nowhere else to go. The home was established to address the needs of those who need our help the most. And our reliance on volunteers helps to ensure that our doors are, and always will be, open to those in need without regard to their ability to pay.

We receive no government funding. Our support comes entirely from people like you. Your donation will go directly to our operations and will help us keep our doors open to those who come to us desperately seeking help.

When deciding what to donate please consider the powerful impact of a recurring donation.  Any amount will do, but with a monthly gift of  $30 ($1 per day) you will help to provide a steady and dependable income stream in support of our life-changing mission. Whatever you decide, we are grateful for your generosity, and generations of future residents and their families will be grateful too. We are a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided.

Thank you for your support!
